DN30-X: Transport of UF₆ Enriched up to 20%

Transport UF₆ enriched up to 20% in U-235 with a safe and proven solution.
    • Support evolving nuclear fuel requirements, particularly for advanced reactors and Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), which require uranium-235 enrichment levels above 5%
    • Transport and store LEU+ and HALEU with enrichment levels between 5% and 20% U-235
    • Control criticality risk while maintaining handling, loading and operating practices close to those used for standard 30B cylinders
    • Optimize transport logistics by avoiding constraints associated with the Criticality Safety Index (CSI)
    • Transport UF₆ enriched up to 10% U-235 with the 30B-10 cylinder and the DN30 overpack, designed for new fuel concepts
    • Transport UF₆ enriched up to 20% U-235 with the 30B-20 cylinder and the DN30 overpack, particularly suited to SMR requirements
    • Designed to keep operating characteristics of the standard 30B cylinder, including an identical shell and dimensions
    • Unchanged handling methods and equipment, with no changes to loading, unloading or handling operations
    • Criticality control with an internal Criticality Control System (CCS)
    • Optimization of shipments with the DN30-X package, featuring a CSI of 0, allowing an unlimited number of packages to be transported in the same shipment and shipped alongside other freight
Transport and store LEU+ and HALEU
with enrichment levels between 5% and 20% U-235
    • Standardized external shell: the 30B-X cylinder body is identical to the conventional 30B cylinder
    • Internal Criticality Control System: steel CCR rods containing boron carbide, manufactured from the same carbon steel as the cylinder
    • Compatibility with the DN30 overpack: a single overpack for 30B, 30B-10 and 30B-20 cylinders
    • Regulatory framework under deployment: U.S. license obtained; French approval in progress
    • Design based on applicable UF₆ transport and interim storage standards: ISO 7195 and ANSI N14.1
    • 30B-X cylinder manufacturing launched in 2025
