ELS liquid sources for measuring instrument calibration

Select a radioactive liquid source whose specific activity and packaging meet the requirements of your measurement system.
    • Select a specific activity level suited to your application
    • Use a geometry compatible with your measurement system
    • Control the uncertainty associated with calibration values
    • Meet standard requirements or accommodate a specific configuration
    • Use the source within a clearly defined metrological validity period
    • Benefit from liquid sources characterized using ionization chambers or liquid scintillation analyzers
    • Rely on calibration values established under Cofrac accreditation
    • Choose from several available specific activity levels
    • Select a standard container according to the required useful volume
    • Adapt the source to your installation with additional geometries available from the catalog or with a container supplied by you
    • Control the period of use of the calibration values through LEA’s metrological recommendations
    Cofrac-accredited calibration values
    Tailored activity and geometry
    • ELS liquid sources are characterized by specific activity, with measurement uncertainty ranging from 1% to 8%, depending on the radionuclide and geometry
    • Calibration values are established under Cofrac accreditation, scope No. 2-6386
    • The available specific activity levels are 0.04, 0.4, 40, 800 and 8,000 kBq/g
    • Type A and B ampoules have useful volumes of 1 and 5 cm³, respectively
    • Type U, V and W V-Vial containers have useful volumes of 1, 5 and 10 cm³, respectively
    • Type D, L and J penicillin vials have useful volumes of 1, 5 and 20 cm³, respectively
    • Type E and F standardized containers each have a useful volume of 50 cm³
    • The sources can also be supplied in other geometries available from the catalog or in containers provided by the customer
    • Calibration values are recommended and guaranteed for two radioactive half-lives, up to a maximum of two years
    • For V-Vial and penicillin vial geometries, this period is limited to three months
