ESA alpha and beta area sources for detector testing and calibration

Adapt the dimensions, activity and radionuclide of your reference source to the detector being checked or calibrated. LEA’s ESA extended sources are available in several geometries, as catalogue references or on request, with radiological characteristics measured in terms of emerging flux.
    • Matching the reference source size to the detector
    • Selecting the radionuclide and activity suited to your requirements
    • Using a geometry compatible with your control or calibration configuration
    • Ensuring source rigidity during use
    • Addressing French quality-control requirements applicable to diagnostic nuclear medicine facilities
    • Benefit from three families of geometries: discs, small cups, and rectangular or square formats
    • Adapt the active and overall dimensions using catalogue references or custom-made sources
    • Adjust the activity to your application with specific ranges for alpha and beta sources
    • Select the radionuclide from catalogue references or the options available on request
    • Rely on a robust design combining an anodised aluminium substrate with a stainless-steel support
    • Control radiological characteristics through emerging-flux measurements performed using a calibrated absolute 2π sr proportional counter
    • Secure your operations by selecting a source whose size matches the detector being checked or calibrated
