Our expertise

Orano develops and supplies a wide range of stable isotopes in different chemical forms (oxide, metal, or gas), with high isotopic and chemical purity at its Jean Fourniols Laboratory in Tricastin (France). The group notably provides molybdenum, xenon, zinc, germanium, krypton, silicon, tellurium and ytterbium. These non-radioactive atoms are used in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum technologies, and scientific research, as well as in medical imaging and oncology where they serve as precursors for radiopharmaceuticals.

In parallel, Orano operates the LEA (Radioactive Standards Laboratory), which offers a comprehensive range of radioactive sources: COFRAC-certified liquid standards for calibrating environmental monitoring systems and solid alpha and beta capsules for radiation detectors.
