Its unique, modern, and integrated industrial platform, anchored by the Malvési and Philippe Coste uranium conversion plants and the Georges Besse 2 enrichment plant, transforms uranium concentrate (U₃O₈) into uranium hexafluoride (UF₆) and provides advanced enrichment services tailored to civilian nuclear reactor requirements.

Complementing these activities, Orano operates the Innovation Center for Extractive Metallurgy (CIME), which develops tailor-made solutions for the extraction of strategic metals, both radioactive and non-radioactive.
