EDC γ sources in charcoal filter cartridges

EDC gamma sources in activated charcoal cartridges reproduce two contamination distributions. LEA offers a choice of radionuclides, activities and volumes to meet your simulation needs.
    • Reproduce the radioactive distribution corresponding to the contamination being studied
    • Use a source compatible with your equipment’s geometry
    • Select the radionuclide and activity level suited to your application
    • Rely on activity measurements performed using instruments with metrological traceability
    • Reproduce surface contamination through surface impregnation of one of the two faces of the activated charcoal, using type E geometry
    • Simulate volume contamination through impregnation throughout the activated charcoal, using type D geometry
    • Benefit from activity measurements performed using NaI scintillation detectors or HPGe semiconductor detectors with metrological traceability
    • Adapt your configuration with options available on request for activated charcoal volume, activity and radionuclide
    Simulate homogeneous whole-body contamination
Choose radionuclides and activities suited to your simulation
    • The standard cartridge has a usable volume of 44 cm³
    • The polycarbonate housing measures 56 mm in diameter and 26.5 mm in height
